There will be 3 rounds in total and a tie-breaker round if required.
The topic will be given on the spot.
Unparliamentary language is strictly prohibited.
No student can use any material for reference during their speeches.
Participants should adhere to the given time limit.
Violation of the guidelines will lead to disqualification.
1st round: The participants will be given 3 minutes to prepare a speech on one word provided to them in one vernacular language (Hindi or Bengali) of their choice and English. Each participant will speak for 2 minutes, expanding upon their given word in English, transitioning into the vernacular language of their choice.
2nd round: Participants will be given a topic. They will be assigned either for or against that topic. They will need to be quick at constructing arguments. Each participant will speak for 2-3 minutes. There will be a warning bell after 2 minutes. This round will be conducted in English.
3rd round: Participants will be given a topic. After a set duration, they will be asked to stop and be given a new topic. This process will be repeated 3 times. The participants will be challenged to seamlessly transition between topics.This round will be conducted in English.
1st round: Fluency, Linguistic skill in both languages and Effective transitioning between two languages.
2nd round: Logical thinking and Construction of an argument.
3rd round: Fast thinking, Fluency and Effective transition.
