General Rules
Number of Participants - 2
Time - 60 mins for cooking + 15 mins for preparation + 15 mins presentation = 1hr 30 mins. Failure to maintain the time limit will lead to deduction of points.
The dish can be any classic dish of the participants’ choice. However, a unique twist of their own must be incorporated making it original and creative.
Only one portion has to be cooked.
Participants will prepare a main dish along with an accompaniment. The main dish should have at least one immunity boosting ingredient (methi, haldi, amla, etc.) and a millet (jowar, bajra, ragi, etc).
A detailed menu needed has to be submitted by 19th July, 2024 through the Google Form available on this webpage.
All ingredients are to be brought by the participants.
No pre-cooked and convenience food is allowed.
Only items that need marination or fermentation or soaking overnight are allowed. This should be mentioned in the detailed menu submitted to the event in charge.
Cooking utensils and gadgets will be provided by the Home Science lab but crockery, cutlery, table cloth and other display items should be carried by the participants.
Each participant will get an induction cooktop and basic induction-based utensils . If participants wish to get their own utensils, it should be induction compatible.
Home Science lab is also equipped with an OTG, microwave, mixer grinder, chopper and refrigerator.
It is mandatory for the students to be in proper school uniform and wear a head gear/cover and apron.
Failure to maintain time limit will lead to deduction of points.
Judge’s decision will be considered final.
NOTE
The selection for this event is strictly on first come first serve basis. Registration will be closed after the enlistment of the first 8 schools.
