General Rules
Number of Participants - 2
Time allotted - 2 hours 30 minutes
The programs will be purely logical.
Participants will not bring any kind of coding devices (laptops or mobile phones) with them to the venue. Individual desktop (Windows 11) will be provided to them. Pen drives for the submission and transfer of code will be provided by the host school.
The computers will not be connected to the internet.
Both the participants of each school should use ONE language ONLY from the following throughout the event-Python/Java/Javascript/C++.
Participants must send their chosen language by 16th of July through the Google Form which will be available on this webpage.
School will be disqualified if found using any kind of unfair means.
The time limit includes coding the program as well as the submission in a pen drive. The folder hierarchy will be explained on the final day.
There will be no size limit of the files.
Rounds
Round 1 (45 minutes):
A set of 3 erroneous programs will be given in a folder on their computers. They will have to debug all the 3 and make the code perfect. The aim of the program will be given.
The programs will be given in their chosen language.
The focus will be on identification and removal of all the bugs with minimal changes.
Round 2 (30 minutes):
A set of 3 logical problems will be provided to each school. The participants will attempt any 2.
After round 2, a group of schools will qualify for the finals, based on the number of points obtained.
Finals (1 hour):
Programs will be comparatively more advanced. Each school will get a set of 2 programs to solve. There will be no choice.
Points will be also given on the basis of time taken to solve the programs.
Judgement Criteria
Round 1:
Removal of all the bugs.
Minimal changes made to the program.
Round 2:
Proper functioning of the code and passing of all test cases.
Understandability, consistency and efficiency of algorithm.
Finals:
Proper functioning of the code and passing of all test cases.
Understandability, consistency and efficiency of algorithm.
The time taken by the finalists to complete the programs will also be one of the factors deciding the final points.
